Be 1 year on 31st October since I watched my mum die helplessly. So sudden. Had health issues but still unexpected, said she was fine, wanted some toast, when I came back it all went wrong, she was registered DNR, so had to respect her wishes. The day or images will be forever in my mind. The build up to the anniversary is tough. Replay what if in my head all the time, like torture. I just want my mummy back

Hello @Miffy1,
I’m so sorry to hear about your mum.
Whether it has been one, five or ten years since the person we’re grieving for died, coping with a death anniversary can bring about new feelings each year. You might find our support page on coping with anniversaries helpful to read.
If you need any extra support yourself, we’re here to help. As well as the community, we also have bereavement support information, Grief Guide and our Grief Kind spaces. You can find out more about our bereavement services at sueryder.org/support ![]()
Take care and keep reaching out,
Seaneen
