Me and my husband have recently lost three family members. His grandad from a heart attack and uncle from cancerdied 4 days apart in August and my nana passed away from liver failure in the middle of October. Its a lot of deaths in a short amount of time but in total I’ve lost 6 people now in the last two years.
Ive been signed off work for 6weeks. My employers weren’t very caring or understanding after I went to two funerals in a week and explained my nana has now gone downhill and is being discharged to die at home and then she died at home. Im looking to change jobs currently.
Has anyone else experienced so much death so close together? At what point did it start getting easier?
I am so sorry for your losses. I lost 2 aunties and my wonderful Mum within 4 months from May to September this year and it is so hard to cope with.
All you can do is take it one day at a time or even one hour at a time, in the hope that things will get easier.
Joining this site is one of the best things you can do as there are so many people going through similar experiences and the comfort, support and understanding you get from them all is amazing.
Just try to take care of yourself as best you can. Thinking of you.
