Alone

Apologies. It has been a while since I have been here, but with being ill since Christmas it has made my depression and loneliness worse I have been struggling on my own every day except a Saturday when I spend the whole day with my two darlin grandsons 14 and 7. I see noone and am fed up with my own company. It’s not too bad on a nice sunny day because I can get in the garden. I also have fibromyalgia and can not do much or walk too far, what’s the point

Hi @TERENCEe ,

Thank you so much for sharing this with the community :blue_heart: I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support, but I just wanted to let you know that you have been heard and you are not alone.

I also wanted to share with you a link to ‘At a loss’ which may be of use to you right now.

At a Loss helps people to find bereavement support close to home (if available) - https://www.ataloss.org/Pages/FAQs/Category/organisations-that-can-help?Take=24. They also have a number of helpful bereavement resources here: Helpful reading, websites and other resources for bereaved adults and children.

Take good care,
Alex

Hello, you’ve had it tough so it’s no surprise you’re struggling, it’s good that you spend time with your grandsons.

As you can’t get out much is there groups that you could join online, or an online hobby group?

Or there are a lot of lonely people that would love to have a telephone befriender? Your council would have details of organisations that offer this? You could telephone soneone once a week which could help both of you?
