Fri. should have been our 65th wedding anniversary, but instead was 10th without you.
There was no big white wedding, no trip to some exotic land.
There was no grand reception, with a loud expensive band.
just a party in mums front room, with those who really cared,
to see us start our lives together, and see the love we shared.
Though you are no longer with me, your in that heavenly place,
my heart will always hold you, and see your smiling face.
My love will last for many years,
but anniversary’s a time for tears.
