Loss of Mum finding difficult

Dear @Chauhan

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mum and for the delay in responding to you. I see that you are new to the Community, I am glad that you have been able to share how you are feeling here and I hope that you find the community a good source of support. Everyone here has experienced the loss of a loved one and will understand some of what you are going through.

I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support, but I wanted to share a few Sue Ryder resources with you that may help you right now.

There is also a blog on Losing a Parent which may be of help and support to you. You can also connect with members here who have been in a similar situation as yourself.

If you have not done so already it might be helpful to talk to your doctor to see how they can support you and to see if there any local bereavement groups in your area you could join.

Grief is a journey and not a race with a rollercoaster ride of emotions with good days and bad days. You need to be gentle with yourself and take one day at a time.

Please continue to reach out, you are not alone, we are here to support you on this journey.

Take care.

Hello Chauhan

I am so sorry for your loss of your mum
Grief is individual
I have never grieved for my mum
I loss my mum 9 months after my husband died
I think my body knew I couldn’t cope
Even 4 years later I still have not grieved for her
But I know it will hit me one day

To help me cope I would write in a journal it might be a way for you to cope with your loss
Sharing and talking helps too especially on this site as we are all going through the same emotions
I hope it gets easier for you
Sending my love
