Breaking down

I haven’t commented for a while but did use this group extensively when my partner passed away. It’s been nearly five years since she went and of course I’ll never really get over it but I wanted to share something with you all. Watching ‘ good morning Britain this morning they were talking to Gary Numan about the sudden death of his brother and how he broke down on stage. There doesn’t seem to have been a trigger for this and it occurred to me that that still happens to me at times. On the supermarket or on a bus for no recognisable reason I start to cry and have to get off the bus or temporarily leave the market. I wondered if this happens to other people.

Hi Peterj

Yes, the breaking down for no apparent reason is very familiar. Can come on with no knowing, or for warning. And it’s certainly something I try to hide from others.

Grief certainly seems to be the gift that keeps on giving.

Hi Peter it’s 3years for me since my partner died and I still find it hard to deal with the lonliness is the worst and the grief never goes away you just somehow learn to live with it but not a day goes by that I don’t long to have my old life back .

It doesn’t take away the loneliness I just try to keep busy which seems to help
Your right you think your doing ok all of a sudden the tears come from nowhere
