Cat passing

I am so so sorry for your loss. The loneliness is awful! I have cried everyday this week.

I’m so sorry to hear about Ginger! He sounds like such a sweet cat and so cute! Walking with you to and home from the store! I have lost both cats and dogs and know how hard it is for you. But I do believe they are up in Heaven and we will see them again. I saw my St. Bernard, Max after he died. He appeared one time when I was very scared and walking on a street. All of a sudden there was my big 200 lb. Max standing on the sidewalk and it was safe again! Also, my mom saw him one night after he died when she was driving to work in a bad area. She was worried and looked in the rear view mirror and there was Max in the back seat! Mom didn’t feel worried anymore.

Remember the good times with Ginger and I’m sure there were many! It does get easier. I’ll say a prayer for you.

Hi there,

Thank you so much for your msg! It really means a lot. I truly believe he was the most loyal companion. The walks to the store now seem longer and very quiet without him.

I totally understand what you mean abiut seeing them again. A few times now I have been convinced that I have seen him walking near me, or that I hear his bell from time to time. It’s only been 1 weeks so still very fresh and very raw, but learning to truly appreciate all the memories! And him being nearly 20 years old, what a huge amount of amazing memories we had! Hope you are ok x

Hi, just wanted to see how you were doing - hope you’ve had a better day today. Take care of yourself xx

Hi @JWebber87

How are you doing? I know it’s still early days and you have had other bereavements. But it’s good to know people here are interested and understand xx

You are so sweet for messaging x I have literally just sent a msg to someone else about how people on here understand and no just how to put a smile on someone’s face and that’s what you just did for me.

Still early days - 2 weeks today. I talk to his ashes every morning and night and keep thinking I see him out of the corner of my eye… Going to take a lot of time to come to terms with him not being here anymore.

How are you? Hope you are doing ok and smiling x

Hi @JWebber87

I’m glad my message made you smile. It is early days for you. Keep talking to your lovely ginger. He sounded like such a character. Take care if yourself as best as you can. I’m ok, miss mum very much but its to be expected xx

I still shed a tear everyday. After him being in our lives for such a long time, I find it so hard that he simply “isn’t here”. Maybe your mum and Ginger found eachother up there and our looking after eachother. Ginger did used to go up to anybody local and say hello. He loved to know what everyone was doing and all the gossip. The most friendly, loyal cat in the world x

Hi. I can understand you having a few tears everyday. It’s such a wrench when our pets leave us, They are part of our family. He sounds adorable. I’m sure mum and Ginger have found each other. Mum adored cats and had several over the years. Take care xx

He was definitely part of the family. Your mum sounds like a very caring person. I’ve always grown up with cats, lost a few down the line. Never had one live as long as Ginger - 19 years, 9 months, 19 days x
