this will be my third Christmas I am going to ignore. I just hope I will not get an invitation. My neighbour who bought my bungalow took me on a bus tour yesterday, and I used my bus pass for the first time. I had not been on a bus since the late 70s.
I would not say it was fun, but it was interesting. It took us ages to get to the hospital. (It was just a dry run for me and the friend had a check up. She had a fall the other day and hurt her shoulder joint.) - I have not driven my car for many years. It would take me many months to get it going again.

It’s my Birthday today… a first to go through since losing Mike two and a bit months ago……
I thought I would be ok as I’ve told all my friends and family that I want to ignore it this year……
But I’ve just opened my Birthday present that Mike bought me before he died….I knew he had bought it but I’m still in bits……some days I just don’t think I can cope with his loss, I really don’t….
How does everybody cope with all these firsts without their partner….it’s so hard……

Morning everyone, I am feeling very sad this morning, it is our granddaughters 25th birthday today, Ray and her were very close. I will be seeing her later so I hope I can shake off this sadness.

Hope you feel better soon Ron. I woke with a bad headache and neck pain. Have taken pain killers and hope it eases off.

Oh Lisa I can imagine what a bitter sweet moment it is for you to unwrap something your Mike had bought for you.
A difficult day.
I had my 75th just after losing Ken and that was hard. I bought myself a gift. A bracelet engraved with his handwriting. It’s not been off my wrist since.

Hi Nick. I’ve been venturing out on busses with my neighbour recently. They are a bit bumpy and I get shaken round a lot but it passes the time and the views are nice.
Also helps if you don’t need to park at the other end.

I know its so hard.
It was my birthday last Friday.
I didn’t know how I would cope but after a sleepless tearful night I was ok
I found opening cards very hard but my Granddaughter helped
As you say another first. But we do get through them, somehow.
Sometimes the days before are actually harder, anticipating how we’ll be.
