Death of partner

I’ve recently lost my partner and father to my little boy and looking to see if anyone is or has been in the same situation that could offer some support

Dear Danielle,

Welcome to the Sue Ryder Online Community. I’m so sorry your partner has died. I can not even imagine how difficult it must be to deal with your own grief while also having to support your little boy. Losing someone you love is terrible and incredibly hard, but please know that you are not alone - everyone here has lost someone and they can understand.

We have a lot of users who have also lost their partners. While you wait for more replies to your post, you may find it helpful to read and reply to some recent conversations between others in a similar situation, for example:

Are your receiving any sort of counseling or bereavement support? Talking to your GP is always a good idea, as they can refer you to specialised services. Charities like Cruse Bereavement Care also offer telephone, email or face-to-face bereavement support: https://www.cruse.org.uk/

If there’s anything I can help with, or you have any questions about the online community, just let me know.

Best wishes,

Irene
