I have had copies of Raymond Briggs’ book for many years, buying more copies to give and lend.
I see that BBC2 is showing an animated version tonight at 7.30 pm “based on” the book.
Never having seen this animation before, I am unable to recommend or criticize it.
If, however, it is faithful to the book then I’d say unequivocally, “Watch It !”
I watched the animated film. It was beautiful and very touching and poignant.
Thank you Edwin…it was both moving and somehow comforting. I love Raymond Brigg and , from my time as a teacher, know how well he communicates to young and old.
