Grief of mother

I am struggling as I am dealing with grief alone, I have never had a nice supportive family or even friends who have stuck by me. It feels all consuming at times and since she became ill and then eventually passed to the other side, my vulnerability seems to have attracted some very nasty behavior, mainly from men trying to take advantage of me and make me feel even more isolated and alone. Have any other women experienced this? It makes me paranoid to even trust men to be honest, which is sad because not all men are predatory but when you’re grieving it feels like they all come out of the woodwork to attack.

Hello @Berylswain,

I’m so sorry for the loss of your mother. It sounds like you’re feeling very alone and not getting the support that you need.
I really hope you find the community to be helpful to you. Most community members have sadly experienced the death of a loved one and so will understand some of what you are going through.

I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support, but I wanted to share a few Sue Ryder resources with you that might be helpful.

I really hope you find the community helpful and a good source of support and I also hope you feel you can access more support should you need it.

Thank you again for sharing – please keep reaching out and know that you are not alone.

Take care,

Seaneen
