Grief overwhelming

Haven’t posted on here a while because I was doing better, since the another one of my uncles has passed due to cancer and my mother in law was diagnosed and it seems to have set off my grief horrifically.

I miss my mum terribly, I recently got engaged and all I want is to sit with her and just smell her one last time.

I’ve reached out and I’m in the process of assessment for grief therapy but I lost my mum 8 years ago, when will this horrible horrible feeling go away? It seems like everyone around me moved on and I’m still the same 18 year old girl crying in the hospice room

Hello fairytalesarenotreal, so sorry for the loss of your mum. , and now you have other family members with health issues. I don’t blame you for how you’re feeling, its a lot to go through. We never forget our loved ones, we just have to find a way forward with our lives. In time it will get easier. You’ll always have your mum close. Have you been to counseling or a bereavement group near you?? Talking about your feelings helps and they might offer ways on how to better cope with our loss.. take care and God bless you :folded_hands:
