Hi, I lost my partner in February this year. I have been so lost without him, I miss him so much. Ever since Paul passed away I have been reading a lot of books on heaven/afterlife. I like to believe that we can create our own heaven. A good example of this is on the film ‘what dreams may come’. It’s a lovely, tearjerking film & does give some comfort xx
Hello @Cosmo100,
I’m part of the Online Community team and I can see that you are new to the community - I’d like to thank you for bravely starting this thread and sharing how you are feeling so lost. I’m so sorry to hear about your partner. Most community members have sadly experienced the death of a loved one and so will understand some of what you are going through.
I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support. In the meantime, you may wish to look at these Sue Ryder resources which might be helpful.
-
Our Grief Guide self-help platform which has information, resources and advice to help you through your grief
-
Our Bereavement Information pages which can walk you through what you are going through.
I really hope you find the community helpful and a good source of support and I also hope you feel you can access more support should you need it.
Thank you again for sharing – please keep reaching out and know that you are not alone.
Take care,
Alex
So sorry for your loss after i lost my husband i kept thinking about the afterlife and what it’s like where dose our spirits actually go and so i started watching near death experiences on YouTube and the way they actually explain what they experienced and how peaceful it was has really put my mind at ease knowing my husband was now in this magical place xx

I am so sorry for your loss.My dear wife passed suddenly here at home in february.I like to believe in the afterlife and that our dear loved ones are with us in spirit form.I really want my wife with me physically but i know it cannot be.i have read quite a few books about the afterlife and spirit and to be honest its only these thoughts that keep me going. It broke my heart losing my dear wife so suddenly, she was everything to me, so kind, loving and caring.its always the best that are taken from us.
