My partner and father of my children died suddenly in April. My son is not coping at all. He is using alcohol and drugs as a crutch and is feeling suicidal and very depressed. He won’t accept any help from any resources , doctor etc. He is very angry and goes into drunken rages quite often. One is actually happening this evening. I want to help him but dont know how and frankly im scared of him when he is like this. I was wondering if anyone else has been through this and had any advice. I’m desperate
Hi Sarah741, I am sorry for your loss. Does your son has a girlfriend,? if yes, you may need her help too.
Sometimes at a certain age ,there’s a voice sons listen to & understand better than their mother’s. He is feeling pain, empty & out of ideas on how to control his emotions, you need something that will occupy his mind, if he has a girlfriend talk to her, he needs her more in this situation, combine efforts.
I pray GOD gives you victory over this situation. Our children are precious.
Thank you for your reply. He doesnt have a girlfriend and has dropped all his friends and totally isolated himself. He barely speak to me and ignores his sister. It’s so hard to know how to help .
