Yes it’s six years for me and when that wave of grief comes it still hurts . Keep reaching out you are not alone .

Hello Meg3 . I feel the same . I should be happy as I have children and grandchildren. But the sadness just takes over .I lost my partner 7 months ago . I miss him so much . I feel ungrateful not feeling happy in my heart when I’m with my children and grandchildren. But the sadness is so heavy.

Hi Meg, get where you’re coming from totally. This is my second time of being widowed, first time early 50’s, now early 70’s and wow its so much harder now, no work to go to, friends aren’t usually free weekends, it’s really difficult making every decision on your own. I try to go out quite a bit, but then wish I was at home. But if I’m at home I weep because I’m so lonely and wish I was out! Family are kind, but sometimes its if it fits in with them. Let’s hope all our lives improve 'cos it sure ain’t that good at the moment.
