Hi allison61

I’m so sorry for your loss, I lost my husband 10 weeks ago and like you I’m alone most of the time, but chatting on here is a life saver there’s always someone who will talk to you so please keep talking on here just say whatever your feeling we all do it helps to say the words. Have you tried counselling or bereavement groups it does help with some people, I’ve just started counselling don’t know if it’s going to help but I am trying, I think they do something on this site too, we have nothing to loose by giving it a go

Sending you hugs

Hi Allison61, this is a lifesaver of a site for many on here, including myself. We all know the living hell of grief, so sorry for the loss of your husband, I am only 6 months in but already it feels like a lifetime. It is a terribly lonely and sad existence, but chatting on here gives an outlet to talk about grief, and that in itself helps as we all understand what each other is going through, which does give a relief of sorts. Its like a bereavement group that`s open 24/7. So keep chatting, many on here are further down the line and have many wise words of advice to give.

Dear Allison I am sorry you are suffering. After getting through the pain of the first few months, we are left with a terrible emptiness which is hardly surprising as we have spent our lives so close to our loved ones that we almost became a single being. Having to survive after being ripped apart is very hard. I have found this site to be a godsend, I hope you find some solace posting here. Joining a bereavement group locally is also a great way to make friends who understand the pain of a bereavement and counselling can be very helpful too.
Thinking of you and sending hugs
