Hello,I’ve decided to reach out due to the recent passing of my Dad .
My Dad passed away in hospital on Christmas morning (unexpectedly).
Im recognising now that due to the timing ( Having children,Santa etc on Christmas day)I have subconsciously tried to carry on as normal.
I went back to work relatively quickly as I thought that would take my mind off things.
A few months on,Im experiencing waves of emotions just out the blue when im least expecting it,feel very stressed and drinking more wine than normal.
I feel guilty as the nursing care in the hospital was very poor and feel like I should of done more.(Not sure what though, just how I feel).
I know things take time, however I just want to feel better.

@Dionne16 Sorry for the loss of your Dad & on Christmas morning of all days. You did well to keep it all together for your kids. I think what you say in terms of emotions are to be expected. I was the same after my Dad died last March. It all catches up with you at some point as you start to process your loss. If you feel that the care your Dad received was sub par then you can always complain to PALS. My Dad died in hospital & after my complaint was received, it’s now being investigated. There’s no rush either so you can write it when you feel able. Mine was fairly extensive & I emailed it on the last day in November. As for feeling better, that will take time I’m afraid. You can’t rush it.
