My mum has copd and heart failure, she doesn’t have long left her health is declining daily. Her breathing is really bad, she has fluid edema in her legs to which her water tablets have been put onto a higher dose but it’s not working. She’s not eating or drinking much at all and lost so much weight. it’s such a hard situation as she doesn’t really like telling us what doctor says, but I just know she’s not going be here much longer.

Hi
Im so sorry your mum is going through so much.
You are doing great. She knows that you love her and are there for her. Spend as much time as you can talking to her about her life, your life as her child.
I was an end of life carer for many years and spent alot of time chatting to my patients about different things.
Saying that when I lost my daughter in April 25 I completely lost it and still struggling now.
Only you know what your mums like. Speak to her team and ask as many questions as you want.
In my prayers
sending
hugs.
