Hey all my father in law passed away December 10th 2023 quite suddenly and me and him was so close like best friends and I was giving the honour of arranging the funeral and sorting all things that needed to be done to make him proud and to be honest it’s still killing me to this day it’s like losing my right arm.

I’m so sorry for your loss @Beki82 . I completely understand why you feel as you do as Its still so recent for you to have lost someone so dear. I lost my Dad towards the end of November 2023 and at times it hits me with such force to know that I won’t ever see him again or listen to his funny stories and jokes. You sound like you honoured the love you shared by arranging his funeral though. Look to take each day at a time and try and push the sad thoughts away and replace them with all the lovely memories you must have. My adult daughter had a book photo album printed up for the memory table at the wake and as a family we look at it often now - its keeps my Dad present in our lives still.
