Thank you for your message is where people do not understand I lost my uncle around the same time. Yes, it hurt. But Oscar was the one who was there when me day and night, slept by my side every night on my lap during the day, everything I had to go through with my neighbours, he was there, he wasn’t just a dog and I hear it when people say that. He was my brother by family and I am on my own.Not one single friend or family member, have even said anything or text, not even a text to say sorry about Oscar, I am alone I truly even my dreams of staring.I get badThank you for your message is where people do not understand I lost my uncle around the same time. I know that sounds silly because he’s not here anymore. And I like people don’t understand but it’s hard life just rules wrong and worthless.\nAnd the only time you get any pieces when you do things , you shouldn’t
Hi @Jamesjc83
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your much loved dog . Our pets are family members and help us get through the toughest of days . Sadly on with pets understand what it is like to lose them.
I totally understand James. I fell apart when i lost my dog and then my very loving old cat. I lost my dad last year and losing my cat a few months ago, triggered the grief and I felt like nobody understood. But I do understand how your heart is aching and how lonely it feels without your best friend by yourself.
I put my hand on my heart and talk to my wee cat out loud, telling him how much I miss him but how grateful I was to have such an amazing fur baby and support all of those precious years. I tell my dad and my dog how much I miss their love and hugs too
I have so much love to give so I am rescuing another wee one from the rescue centre and I feel guilty but I know my animals would want me to have another amazing fur baby around. That will help me and talking with the blue cross helpline also helped.
start off with being kind to yourself, allow yourself to feel all those emotions but remember the good memories and loving times too. Don’t waste your time on those who don’t understand. It would be nice for their support but we are never in control of what others think or do. You can talk about how they have made you feel but only you will know if it’s best to do this or not.
Take time for yourself, your heartbreaking loss and keep talking. My cat is Freddie and my dog is Cassie and they are together again. I love them for all the love they gave me, just like your dog will love you for all that you did too. What is your dog’s name?
There are people here who get it James. I hope your heart is a little lighter today
Lost my beautiful bundle of joy last year shortly after my husband. Miss that cuddle . Be strong and take care x
Oooh so lovely.
What can I say. Too cruel.
Bet he had happy life with YOU, he looks very content.
DOG spelt backwards is GOD!
I’ve said that all my life and i’m not saying that god , but I do believe they are angels , Send by God Thank you for your lovely messages.\nI really enjoy it.Life was just too hard without them
Sooo get that!
I have had quite a few very special ‘pets’ want for a better word there!
Each loss has been crippling! My first experience of truly feeling a broken heart when I lost Algie, a remarkable cat, quite human.
And dogs since. Each one precious and so hard to live without them.
Thankfully the little beings that have came along and shared my life since have made their mark. Brought utter joy, each day and everyday. But also bring total sadnest when they leave but gave so much.
