I lost my husband 7 weeks yesterday I’m just a complete wreck we were married for 48 years he passed just 3 weeks after going into hospital I just can’t seem to stop crying I just want him back .I’ve tried keeping busy we have a son and daughter and granddaughter we were all with my husband when he passed it’s so very hard a struggle for us all I know people say it’s will get easier but I truly believe it will not I can’t imagine my life without him I’m so lost

Kim, So sorry to hear about your husband.
I lost my Jackie back in March 2025. It’ll be 6 months this coming Saturday and it’s really very hard at times.
Our lives have both been devastated by the heartbreaking loss we have suffered.
But we both have to continue to the best of our abilities for the sake of families and friends who love us.
I will love my Jackie, always and forever as I have done throughout the 60 years we have been together. 
You will do the same for your husband
As many say, grief is the price we pay for love. We both have a heavy price to pay, but we will learn to live with it.
It will be a rollercoaster at times, but the heavy sobbing at the beginning will ease a bit.
I cried hard when I visited my Jackie’s grave in Wales last Friday, then have had a few days tear free until this morning when the floodgates opened for no apparent reason.
The most important thing is for us to look after ourselves.
All of us here in this sad club, that none of us wanted to join, understand that we are not unique. We all experience similar things, so please join in conversations.

Thank you for your kind reply it’s so very hard we have husband funeral tomorrow and dreading that I just don’t know how my children and granddaughter and myself will cope also my dad as we only lost my mom in April this year From Dec 2024 to July we have lost 6 member of our family it’s so heartbreaking

Kim, it will be very hard, but you will survive. The days ahead for you and in fact all of us in this dreadful club, will be a rollercoaster, but if you look after yourself, you can learn to live with it . You need to be the most important person, for the sake of your family and friends
