Feel absolutely devasted, lost my mum a few weeks ago! Don’t know how I can cope with it! Days just seem to be getting harder! All my family have left and not speaking to me! ![]()

Hi @nataliec1
I’m so sorry you are going through this. It isn’t easy at times to see how to cope. I know how I felt when my mum died. The initial weeks I was very up and down. I just had to go with how I felt and take each day (or hour or minute sometimes) as it came. Sending you support and understanding ![]()
I too have lost my mum weeks ago to cancer and I can’t get my head round it…. It’s almost as if I don’t believe she is gone! I’m told this is normal for the brain to do this as the grief is too much and I’m in shock. She was my world, best friend and we did everything together. Always there if I needed a chat. I was with her everyday… and now it’s gone and I’m just functioning and getting through the day.
Some family members think I should be feeling a bit better as my mum was ill since February but there is no way I feel better…. To be honest I’m numb, I have never felt pain and loneliness like this ![]()
