On october 1st 2023 we lost our 17yr old son Ben in a motorcycle accident. He was killed outright by a drunk driver. We are still waiting for the police to charge the man the process to work.
We have just been through our hardest time of our first xmas without him.
We miss him more every day. It just seems to be getting harder not easier.

I can see that you’re new to the community. I hope you find it to be a support to you, but I am so sorry for the loss of your Son that brings you here.
You say you are feeling as though things are getting harder, the process of the police investigation must be terrible for you and for you to be able to start to grieve. I wanted to share some sources of support that might help you right now.
Child Bereavement UK support families with the loss of a child. They also support bereaved children. You can call their helpline on 0800 02 888 40.

I’m so sorry you have lost your son in such a horrible way, my heart goes out to you. We are all grieving the loss of our children here, just trying to put one foot in front of the other each day. I’m stuck in limbo, missing my son so much and wanting the world to go back to when he was here.

I totally understand what you’re going through right now.
We lost our son on 1st November 2022 at the age of 31 and so this is our 2nd Christmas and New Year without him in our lives but remember that there love will always be in our hearts forever.
I just want to go to sleep on the 23rd December and not wake up until the 2nd January but I have to put on a brave face for my daughter as she is also suffering terribly.
