I lost my 19 year old son very suddenly on the 8th of april and i am finding it so hard to find ways to cope.
Dear Cawkey,
Losing a child must be one of the most hart breaking experiences in life, and I am so sorry that you have lost your son so suddenly and at such a young age. Do you have anyone close to you, a friend or family member, who you can talk to and ask for help? I have read many posts on this site from other mothers who write about their loss, you may have read some of their stories under the ālosing a childā category. I hope that some of them will reach out to you, as they will best understand what you are going through and can tell you how they are trying to cope with their loss. xx Jo
I have a good family network it has hit everyone so hard, so others are struggling too and i feel like a burden talking to them all the time. I will look on here for some other mums to talk to. Thankyou for taking the time to message me.
Hi Cawkey,
My heart goes out to you ā¦Iām so, so sorry for the loss of your lovely son.
There are quite a few of us ladies and a couple of gentlemen who chat and support each other the best we can through these heartbreaking times.
āLoss of our son aged 27ā and "I lost my son 5 weeks agoā are the main threads where we talk.
Itās so very sad that you find yourself hereā¦joining us
My son died very suddenly about 7 weeks ago. He was only 38ā¦lived 5 minutes from me with his beloved dog Ash. We were very close, he wasnāt married or in a relationship so we spent a lot of time together. Shared the same hobby which we spent every weekend doing.
Iām struggling to come to terms with it all.
It helps a bit talking to others but at the moment Iām spending most days crying and missing him.
Some ladies have been posting on this site for a long time and I do find some comfort in the things they sayā¦I hope you will too.
Love and caring hugsā¦Sue xxx
