I honestly wish I knew how to navigate this feeling of grieve. I lost my dad in July 2024. It was really quick and I found the 1st anniversary so so hard. My mum fell ill in August this year and passed away 25th September- I am returning to work on Monday and I am so anxious about getting upset when people ask how I am. I know its coming from a good place but I just don’t want to cry all the time.

Is there anyone at work you’re closer to? Maybe you could talk to that person before Monday and ask him/her to tell the others that they shouldn’t ask how you are the first thing they do? They will understand, I’m sure.
