Hi, I lost.my Mum in Seotember 2021. I have.been doing ok but then it seems to hit me hard at certain times. My Dad is not in good health so I have worries about that too. I feel like I.can cope fine during the day when I am working and have distractions but when I go to bed at night that’s when my mind goes into overdrive. I k ow that there is so many people going hrough this but it does make you feel lonely and that life is not the same now.
Hello. So sorry for our loss, I lost my mum in March and like yourself you just never know which emotions are going to hit when.
I am opposite in that during the morning I feel bad and my mind wanders doing work, in the evening I tend to be more positive and go to bed feeling okay. But even that can alter,
Don’t be afraid to seek help from your doctor and have an MOT. Grief is draining on the body so there can be physical stresses on top of the emotional ones. My Doc found my Vit B was right down and some other nutrients so taking a supplement. Also make sure you timetable in relaxation and downtime
On an evening I have found having the tv or a podcast on in the background helps distract my brain if it is being “noisy”

Thanks very much Beki for your very kind and sound advice. I am so sorry for your loss too and hope that you are ok. I have a doctors appt at the end of the month so will discuss this with them ,thanks again, best wishes Pauline x
I lost my mum on 26th June so feeling how you are too. It helps to hear how others are coping further down the line and I have found this very helpful. I think will also have mot check with dr. Sorry both for your losses too, so hard isn’t it and truly does feel a bit like I am lost without an anchor.
Hi, i am so sorry for your loss, it does feel like that, need to keep on talking about them and sharing memories. Take care of yourself x
