Poem

Hello everyone, I decided to write another poem today and I wanted to share it with you all. My 28 year old daughter Chloe died 20 months ago and the one thing that gives my brain a rest from the constant pain is nature , especially birds. It doesn’t get any easier and the feelings of desperation and loneliness are so real. Sending love, light and glimmers. :sparkles::candle:x

Birds are my saving grace from the chaos in my head - they deliver fragments of joy and peace , fleeting moments
….

The bright colours of the goldfinch, the shining greenfinch in the sun, lingering in the background is the chaffinch on her own.

Gardeners favourite Robin redbreast comes and goes, daring to get near and the busy sparrows jibber jabber about something I don’t know.

Noisy magpies show up with intention and the pigeons come for tea, the black and yellow great tit grabs some seed and flies off to another tree.

Long tailed tits swing by with their friends for a tasty snack and the unassuming Dunnock hops along the ground waiting for falling seeds.

I saw a Bullfinch long ago and that gave me Hope

And

As the other poem reads

Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul.

Birds give me saving grace

As I’ve said before.

That’s such a beautiful poem. I lost my 22 year old son Steffan in Aug 23 and nature also gives me moments of solace from all consuming grief and sadness.

I love your poem. I love to watch the birds too, they give me solace, I have feeders in my back garden and I feel safe there. Away from the world.
I lost my daughter in August ‘23, she was 21.

Thank you, I know I feel safe at home and in my garden. Don’t particularly like going out too much unless to work or meet a friend for coffee. 2 years in August for us both. :broken_heart: Sending peace and light to you xx
