My dad recently passed away. It was a very sudden death. Background history, my dad left when I was a child, for the last 14 years we have messaged each other everyday, we were then reunited in person 30 years later. I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye, yesterday was his cremation which was one of those direct cremations. I have lots of different emotions happening at the moment. Wish I could have said goodbye, missing that contact with him and lots of other feelings. Don’t really know what I’m trying to say…. Think I’m just still trying to process it all.
Hello @KPM,
I’m part of the Online Community team and I can see that you are new to the community - I’d like to thank you for bravely starting this thread and sharing how you are having so many different emotions. I’m so sorry to hear about your dad and that you feel you didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. Most community members have sadly experienced the death of a loved one, and so will understand some of what you are going through.
I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support. In the meantime, you may wish to look at these Sue Ryder resources which might be helpful.

I really hope you find the community helpful and a good source of support and I also hope you feel you can access more support should you need it.
Thank you again for sharing – please keep reaching out and know that you are not alone.
Take care,
Alex
