Hello all, trying to type this lost Mum on 21st Dec to sepsis , I was her carer plus worked full time, still having issues with local community home provider, I am now 60 and have arthritis, any help please
Dear Tracy,
Sorry to hear that you are finding yourself in such a difficult position. It is hard enough having to cope with the loss of your mum, but to be faced with the possibility of losing the place that was your home for the last 10 years must cause you so much extra heartache and stress.
Have you tried to get any free legal advice about your rights? From other posts I have read on here, your local citizen’s advice bureau would be a good place to start.
It is admirable that you were your mum’s carer as well as having a full-time job. Are you still working full-time at the moment? I hope that you have a good GP and that you are able to get the support that you need for your own health issues.
My husband works as a carer in the community and has done so for the last 20 years. I am about to retire from my part-time job. In the last 4 years I lost my dad and my mum and my husband lost his mum, so we know a thing or two about caring for parents, and about bereavement. We live in Essex, and we have one son who studies in Plymouth. We have been there a few times and really like the area. Do you live near the seaside?
It is good that you have come to this site. I hope that you find it helpful to read other people’s posts and replies.
Jo
