One rather lovely, and free, service the Coop provides is the creation of a dedicated tribute page for your loved one. I asked them to create one for Andrew and I hope people who knew him will contribute. The objective is to keep his memory alive, which is now the main objective of my life. He was unique and loved and this should be shouted from the rooftops.
Hi
We used the co op for my husband’s funeral 9 months ago but didn’t know anything about this. It’s a lovely idea xx
The Coop posted this poem by Henry Scott Holland on Andrew’s tribute pages:
I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
I think it is rather beautiful. Why should we not speak to our dearly departed the same way we did when they were alive?
Why should our behaviour change because they are no longer here in physical form?
We are certainly not bonkers for still talking to them.
I am not religious but it brings me comfort to talk to Andrew.
