Im so sorry @Burgled that you are being bombarded with so many tough things right now 
Losing a parent does take away that feeling of safety and security- even though my mum was in her 80s and frail and couldnt do a lot to help me, just having her around made me feel safe 
I really hope you and your Mum can get the support you need

Thank you Ally . Iām sorry that your person who provided a feeling of safety no longer walks this Earth. She is always with you, as my dad is with me

I know I did everything for my mum too and i would do it all again. Mum was my best friend. I find I say things she used to say so feel she is still part of me in a way.
Its a big thing to cope and adapt to her not being here. Sending love and strength xxx
