Hi Beki, I too like ā€œMidsomer Murdersā€ and ā€œMurder She Wroteā€, but I prefer ā€œAerial Americaā€ or similar programmes on the ā€œSmithsonian Channelā€ at the moment. They talk with a calm voice and the photography is just stunning. It also helps to forget everything for a while. Especially when my cat is on my chest and I cuddle her.

Me too, the Smithsonian channel is lovely. Soothing, no worries there. Often it is all I can bear. The same with books, I read nature books, history or comedy like PG Wodehouse. Pleasant things.

I love BBC Sounds on my mobile, specifically The Forum where interesting subjects are quietly discussed by academics. No irritating music, no over excited jumping about. I cannot abide noise and adrenaline driven presenters. Quiet, steady voices are all my nerves can stand.
Also, I find Amazon Audibles is excellent to get audio books for my kindle which I listen to on a speaker while I do my daily tasks. I choose literary novels, I like classic books such as Somerset Maugham, especially his travels. My mind benefits from getting clean away from current events.

I binge watched afterlife soon after my husband died and I thought how can he know this it made me feel normal.
Iā€™m binge watching Stranger Things now and the split.

Iā€™ve treated myself to the Disney + channel so am binge watching the Golden Girls again!

Also, Forged in Fire is just fascinating me!

I love Golden Girls so much but I have a certain rule, I refuse ever to watch the final few episodes. I refuse to say goodbye to them. Iā€™ve never seen the last episode.
I also never look up about the actresses real lives.

I do this with any good series I watch. I simply cannot say goodbye. This way they are forever alive, funny, comforting.
