I had impossible love by UB40 at my husband funeral . The words are just how I feel.
Our wedding song was 2 out of 3 by meat loaf, didn’t think the words were appropriate as I did love my husband very much xx

Hi, I had " only you" the Flying Pickets version , as my husband went into crematorium. 10 months after that my brother died . I was being so brave going to his funeral , the day was about him , not my husband and my grief. As my brother was going into crematorium, the song that was played for him was the same I had used at my husbands , that was me in absolute pieces ,sobbing , my brother and his family didn’t know I had chosen that song , as they weren’t able to attend his funeral . I still can’t listen to that song , even though it’s over two years .

I still can’t listen to jealous of the angels by Katherine Jenkins. It just reduces me to tears especially as its the song we had as my gorgeous beautiful late wife sue went into the Crematorium. Also the fact it was a year on the first of February.

@Walan i love that track . I think waiting for the hammer to fall is apt in Freddie’s situation and also for many others too . I now realise that after watching Live Aid of course we weren’t aware of what was unfolding in his life , but it soon became clear didn’t it .
On a side note , his performance on this day was EPIC even though he knew he was terminally ill ,

It has to be " your my best friend " for me , I would sing it to my husband ( very badly) and kiss him , he would always say " whats that for" my reply " because i can " . So very sad now I can only kiss his photo, x
