When I share this I think that people who do not know me might think I was hallucinating or emotional, but it was real and it happened unexpectedly. A week before my mum’s funeral I was in the florist with my partner. We were just sorting out practicalities. Suddenly, the florist turned to the side. She turned back to me and with her mouth open she said, “Did you see that?” I said, “Yes it was a woman and when she saw me look into her eyes, then she moved as to go through the shop and disappeared.” I saw the lady appear and could describe what she was wearing. Both the florist and I separately felt a presence and this made us both turned. She thought that it was another customer waiting to be served. My partner had his back and didn’t see the woman but he witnessed the florist speak first. The lady initally didn’t look like my Mum as she was wearing trousers and Mum hardly ever wore them. It would be easy for me to say it looked like Mum. However when I looked into the eyes, they were the eyes of my Mum and looked like how she looked in side profiles of photographs, but slightly different. I am a grounded person, I wasn’t emotional, I was very matter of fact at the time. I do believe that it was my Mum. I never expected anything like this, but the florist spoke first and my partner witnessed the exchange.

Hi, Firstly I am so sorry for your loss and the ongoing pain of it all. I lost my mum suddenly to cancer just over two months ago. I am finding it so incredibly hard. She was my everything and I am completely lost without her. I know my life will never be the same again. I hate waking up to another day without her. The only day I now look forward to is being with her again. I am desperately waiting for a sign from her. The only thing that happened was a random song came into my mind which was, ain’t no mountain high enough. I had to look up the lyrics. I think my mum was trying to tell me that know matter how far apart we are that she is with me. Well I really hope so but I guess I don’t know for sure. Anyway it helped reading about the signs you got and it gives me hope.

Best wishes

Clare

Clare, talk to your momma and tell her to show you something. Call out to her and ask if she is here and to let you know it.

Ask for the sign, then see it when it manifests. Sometimes it is a smell, a word, a phrase, a coin, a flower, a feeling of warmth. “Momma, are you here? I need help, show me what to do here, let me know you are with me still.”

For me, a Christian, I first ask Jesus to let my husband connect with me. But, I don’t think that is mandatory for everyone.

Love,
Peaches

@sb793 This is the first post I’ve seen to acknowledge this. Coincidence, maybe, but I think not. My husband haunted me for a year. Things disappeared before my eyes, and I’ve never found a rationalization. He would appear clearly in my waking mind, etc. It’s been nine years now. I’d say he stayed one year. Looking back I wonder was I just deranged? I wrote each incident down though, and taken as a whole, I simply can’t discount it. Enjoy the signs, real, coincidence, who really cares, if it comforts you.

I used to laugh at my husband, saying he “wouldn’t believe in himself’“Mr. Rationality. After a year, I was worn our with things disappearing and reappearing in strange places etc, or totally disappearing in front of to me, I told him I was tired, scared, wished he’d be at peace, and that I’d help him move on if I could. A few days later, the occurrences stopped.

We have had so many signs since Paul died . Some on our own and some in front of others.

The first happened to my son on the night Paul died. My son was on his own (at about 3am) staring in to the fireplace (we have an open fire). The fire had gone out hours before. My son said he was sitting crying realising his dad would never light a fire again when a half burned log re lit itself from on end slowly to the other.

My daughter is a scrub nurse. She regularly sets up playlists for surgeons and knows their preferences. One day in the middle of surgery her dad’s funeral song started playing. It’s not on the playlist.

I have had random things moved, noises things turning themselves on. Stupid things that Paul would appreciate.

The strangest of all involves paperwork. I was applying for confirmation of his estate (Scottish version of probate). I knew Paul had premium bonds but couldn’t find them. I applied to NS and I and they said there was no trace. I decided that there was nothing I could do about it and so decided not to include them. I was literally filling in the form for confirmation and went to get some papers out of my document wallet. At the back of the wallet was a bright green premium bonds change of details form dated 20 years ago that had his reference number (or whatever it’s called). It had punch holes so had obviously been kept in a ring binder. I have no idea how it got there. It really is bright green so it’s not a form you would miss. I only started using the document wallet for his financial stuff after Paul died. Before that I would put travel stuff in it.

My favourite though is the mirror. Paul had a habit of pressing his face against windows to say hello (I know!). We have a large mirror above our fireplace. One night I looked up and there was an imprint of his face. Like he had stood straight on and pushed his face into it. I took a photo and everyone swears it is him except it’s about 7 feet up. I haven’t cleaned the mirror since.

The many things that have happend reassure me that he’s still here

@Rosie59 Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I am very happy to hear these! The green folder! Paul would be happy to hear of this? Ha! I told Roy he wouldn’t believe in himself, as he was Mr. Rationality. I am glad to know I am not alone in these occurrences, not that I thought I was, but I am pleased to hear others stories. Thank you for sharing. I am so sorry for your loss, he was too young! Roy was 87, so, he had a good life except for the Alzheimers. Ron was 73 and poof died. I thought we had much more time.Take care! Cindy :pink_heart:

I believe that there are no coincidences. I’ve got many signs from my most beloved husband that I follow. One of them…

I was drinking my coffee and this letter that my name starts with appeared…
