I know. Would never have said that when I still had my husband with me. I hated him going away. But I guess people just say unkind things and I can’t expect them to think it may be hurtful to others. I mustn’t be so sensitive

My husband used go away quite a lot with work years ago . I never liked it I couldn’t wait for him to be back home . I don’t think she thought she would upset someone. It’s like we have said on here many time you can’t understand the pain of losing husband/wife until you experience it . Hope you have a peaceful afternoon.

Hi Toffeegirl, If my wife drove to the shops on her own she would phone me when she got there and phone me when she was leaving and a few times in between to discuss what she was buying
