How could I forget September.
Even this morning as I changed the calender over my heart cracked.
We always went away in September
Roger would be getting quite excited counting the days down.
I miss him, and September hurts
But then most things hurt

Hi Ludo,
I did exactly the same as you today. My mum and I always went in a road trip to North Wales during the first week in Sept. I saw the 1st on the calendar today and it hit me like a ton of bricks. We would have been planning our route and fussing about what clothes to take. It was such a wonderful time for us.
Almost 3 yrs ago I never in a million years thought it would be our last holiday together. If only I could turn back time.
Sept is do triggering for me too

It still amazes me what catches me out. It’s 18 months for me and its still so raw.
This will be my second September without him
When we had our dog we always went to Roger’s sisters in Ramsgate.
When we lost him 12years ago, we started going to Devon and Cornwall. We used to go by coach and stay on a caravan site, we loved it.
Then 2 years ago Roger was unwell but we didn’t know what was wrong.
We dithered for a week about whether to go but then he said “no we’re going, it might be our last holiday”
I just said of course it won’t be
Why did he have to be right 
So now the tears come, but there’s always something to start them off isn’t there

It was September 1978 we started courting , both 16 .
Fastforward 43 years , 43 wonderful happy years , Chris died in september ,
So september the start and end of my beautiful life
