The love song - My heart will go on by Celine Dion.
We met in 1998, and this was the first film we went to see together and was when I told her for the first time that I loved her. This song means so much to me.
Valerie by Steve Winwood
This was/is OUR song.
I love you Valerie
This Titanic song you posted Chris4 reminds me of my best friend who died suddenly as it was played at his funeral, we also loved the film and he was in love with Jack/Leo but sadly never got a Leo of his own as he was only 18 when he died of meningitis that we thought was a headache.,. thanks for posting as I hadnāt heard it for a while and it reminds me how lucky I am that I did get to continue my life, even if it doesnāt always feel like it since my husband died.
For my chosen song I was going to post the cover by the aptly titled Pity Party that I listen to a lot but the video for this one is strangely reassuring so I stuck with the well known version:
Awww, I am so sorry to hear about such a tragic loss. Itās never easy to lose someone so close, but at 18, it makes it even more tragic.
I cannot listen to this song without weeping like a baby! Itās the most emotional song for me right now, but the most special.
My fav too and I also come on to listen to others songs. Very emotional but also comforting
When you wake early and want to listen to a special song. Welcome to my morning
The Paper Kites Climb On Your Tears
Iāve been dreaming about you
For a long time in my mind
Iāve been seeing your face
In the light on the hill
I canāt help thinking
Itās been a long time now
Iāve been wondering
How youāve been
Well the last time we spoke
There was a pain in your heart
You said the rain just falls
Every day on you
And I couldnāt help you anymore
But I can tell you now
Youāve gotta climb those
Heavy tears
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Wash all your fears away
Well itās hard when youāve got that pain
Like a thorn in your side
And itās calling out your name
And it burns like a fire
Well I canāt take it away
Itās a shadow in the night
But I can tell you
I keep on climbing now
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Wash all your fears away
Like a summer sun falls
And the light just fades away
Thereās a moon rising high
To keep you on your way
When youāre lost in a dream
When youāre lost in your head
Thatās just the place that you are
And itās the road youāre on
Thereās a time to rest
Thereās a time to move on
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Wash all your fears away
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Like a ladder to a rose, baby
Climb on your tears
Wash all your fears away
@Crazy_Kate
Iām sure Iāve said this to you before, Iām so glad you started this thread, however long ago that was
It is one I return to again and again
Totally agree. This is such a comfort at the worst time in my life and seeing some of the amazing songs that people are taking comfort from.
When I go to walk to my wifeās grave, I always listen to my music and every song I used to really enjoy I am now hearing them in a different way.
I absolutely know what you mean Chris4. I am always seeking the ultimate perfect lyrics.
I was listening to my music yesterday, and by random choice, the Eric Clapton song āTears in heavenā started and I literally broke down and wept like a baby!
Tears in heaven is lovely, it was played as we were entering the crem with my husband - itās a gorgeous song x
Itās a truly gorgeous song. And with the loss of my wife, I am hearing it in a totally different way now. Makes it even more emotional.
My living room suddenly got really smokey for a couple of minutes. Either that or the massive onion I decided to cut while listening to this - thatās why my eyes are streaming!!! lol.
Hehe Chrisā¦ Yeah I also seem to spend a lot of time cutting onions in a smoke an pollen filled room
This one is a bit more cheerful (but not that much lol)
These blooming onions have got me again!!! lol.
I do love that song.
I always liked the video of this one too so chose that rather than lyrics video
