im the oldest of 4 children 3 boys one girl Sadly my
Sister was 9 when she had a freak accident and it wasnt until
a few weeks before my dad lost his battle with treminal lung
cancer that he opened up and showed how hurt and heart broken
he was to lose is only daughter and she was the baby of the family.
All the years prior he had stayed strong for mum as she was and as alwys ben in pieces.Now it was my dad that was in bits.
Samantha would of been 29 years old when my dad lost is battle in July 2006. and would of no doubt found a partner and may well of had chance marry and dad walk her down the isle, this vid below captures my imagination.

@Liro , Hi , hope you are doing ok , since you got back from your holiday , i can imagine its a bit emotional .
Im ok . Whent back to work yesterday , after 7 weeks off . I was totaly shattered , went to bed at 6 , slept on and off all night , hopefully todays a bit easier, i think my body thought it had gone into retirement lol

Holiday was good but yes really tough coming home.
And then that night a thunderbolt hit and blew my tv up and knocked my boiler out!
So a good welcome home 
My poor neighbour has a very large hole in the roof
Luckily another neighbour fixed the boiler The tv and firestick however are broken.
I’m glad you’re ok. Work must be hard after 7 weeks off. Do you teach?

Oh my how awful about thunderbolt. That must of been so scary , glad you ok , tellys can be replaced , but expense you dont really need , glad you have good neighbours , that help .
Yes the emotions just take over dont they . My mantra now is cry if you need or want to , its not harming anyone .
That made me laugh , me teach lol the only thing i could teach is bad language and i dont mean french or german lol
I work on school meals , have done for years , it was a handy job when my two were little , and now i help with Grandkids in the holidays . I always say im a dinner lady , but not always a lady

Yes it was incredibly scary. I was actually terrified.
Being alone really hit. I’ve never heard anything so loud. It sounded like a bomb. A lot of people here thought it wad. My Grandaughter thought it was and she lives a 15 minute walk away.
My stepson is buying me a new tv so that was nice of him
My Mum was a dinner lady, she started after my Dad died when I was 15. Two of my brothers were younger, one only 6, so it was ideal for her to have school holidays off.
I’m sure you are a lady. You’re certainly very nice

Oh my , that must of been terrifying, so loud to hear it so far away . Yes we miss them every second of everyday . But it hits harder when we really need them .
Thats nice of your stepson , he must think a lot of you , you hear that much about how families dont help , its nice to know some do .
Tragic for your mam and family , i was 23 when my mam died and i thought that was young to lose a parent .

Yes I have been lucky with support. My daughter has been brilliant and my stepson has been stepping up too.
And my friends have been good too.
One or two seem to think I should be ‘over it’ but we know that will never happen
