Today is 81 weeks since my Vic passed I can’t believe how the time has gone so fast yet at times so slowly.
Anyway today we went for a walk not that far but enough to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. Nature really can ease the soul. I like to think that wherever I walk my Vic walks with me and looks after me.
I was to busy enjoying me surroundings to take photos but here’s one of the view by the pub looking down to where we walk back to the bungalow.
All being well we will walk on Thursday to Pan Y Fan which is the highest peck in South Wales. I’m really looking forward to it so hope the weather is on our side. I’ll post on here with photos if we make it.
A couple of pics I took up at that playpark. It’s amazing how far you can see.
I started imagining what stone-age people thought when they came to this place and saw what is the River Severn/Bristol Channel in the distance. They certainly didn’t have someone buy you a Cornetto and Newspaper in the shop
It looks like you had a beautiful day for your walk. I’m glad you’ve got John with you today Catherine. Wouldn’t that be a sight to see, a cave man with a Cornetto. Enjoy the lovely day x
Yes Helen I think if a caveman approached with ice cream that would be a miracle. So John had to do with me getting him one
Yes I am very grateful to John his support to me is very much appreciated. Of course I know it works both ways but I’m still grateful but also sad that we only met through both of our loses.
Hi Catherine and John
What beautiful scenery and views in the distance. It nice you’re not on your own on your trigger days . It’s gone really hot here so hope it is not too hot for your walk .
Had quite a good day today, 2 friends came by at different times so had a nice chat about nothing. Dreading tomorrow, when I have a good day the next 2 or 3 are usually horrendous, but I have to keep the tears away I’m getting a new door tomorrow so don’t want to be crying when the workmen are here,
Sorry for those that have had a hard day hope tomorrow is better for you all
Off to go up Pen y Fan today. Looks like the weather isn’t too bad, so hopefully we’ll make it. Last time I tried it in the late 80s, we got as far as the plateau and had to turn back because of the wind.
If you zoom in on the photo just behind the sign you can see the slate I placed there for my Vic I wrote his name and date he passed on it. Hopefully it will be there for a long time. I saw a red kite going up which I associate with my Vic’s spirit. Which I know some will think is daft I know my walking companion does but he knows me well enough to not push it
It was beautiful up there well worth the climb.
I intend posting photos once I get them sorted and @Johnr lets me have some he also took.
