It’s been exactly 9 months today since I lost my sunshine. On one hand it still feels like yesterday but a lifetime since I was with my beloved.
The 1 year mark is fast approaching and I really don’t know how I feel anymore? I really do believe that most people think I should be moving on? Feeling “ better”? I don’t have an illness for goodness sake! My life as I knew it ended that day.
For me living alone is so hard, I’ve never experienced such loneliness, I spend my evenings talking away to my Martin, asking for a sign that he’s still with me. Maybe I’m just going mad!
The prospect of years ahead of me without him, is at times, simply too much to bare. It’s the knowing that no one in this awful world loves me like he did; it’s really a horrid feeling. Feeling lost, scared and alone is at times, all consuming.

I don’t think anything anyone says can make this any easier but just know that we are all behind you and will hold your hand through this journey.

Hi,
Yes, no words can make it any better.
But just know that we all understand
I’m 8 months and a bit in… Everything still so awful, and getting worse to be honest …
It all still feels so raw.
Hugs to you both
I know exactly how you feel,it will be 5 months tomorrow when I lost my Jan, The loneliness and not knowing what the future holds is difficult to bear, we all have our own unique journey through this grief, but ultimately the fears and emotions we experience are similar for most of us, we are not alone and can help each other cope as best we can by sharing our thoughts, emotions, fears and memories of our loved ones x

It is not six months yet for me but I feel lonely. The cat is company. But I am not used to it but hope I will some day find something. It will never be the same only different. I miss the good times and don’t miss when it was not. But would rather have those than nothing. I imagine he would come in and move everything how it used to be because he wouldn’t like how I just put things where I feel like. But I am thinking well at least that isn’t a problem.
I used to think if ever I had my own choice I would rush and do things I want but I have only got a garden table. I don’t have the energy.
Hi @Dottie72 I know what you mean about the time thing … yesterday but a lifetime away. It’s so hard without that special person. I really feel for you as I spend a lot of time on my own and the loneliness I find excruciating. I do hope that you can find some peace and comfort in the coming months. I’m still hanging in there with hope. Sending love.X
Ok so that didn’t work…just a big face picture
Doesn’t seem to like the instagram link.
It’s Julia Samuel on Instagram (I confess I really don’t get how it works🙈. ).
If you do and can find her Monday tips video for this week she talks about the fertile void. Xxx
