Every year we were together Phil would give me a cuddle & a kiss at midnight & tell me that he loved me. I lost him suddenly at the end of March so this year I won’t get my kiss. I’ve got his ashes so I will light a candle & at midnight I will give him a cuddle & a kiss & tell him I love him.

Yes, seeing the new year in together was so important and knowing how much we loved each other was a part of that.
I will miss the love I saw in his eyes as we celebrated the New Year.
