I see the way you carry the weight of my absence, the way your heart hurts in the quiet moments when no one else is watching.
I see the tears you wipe away before anyone notices and the forced smiles you wear when the world expects you to be ok. But I also see your strength even when you feel like you’re falling apart.
I see you getting up each day taking each breath, moving forward no matter how slowly.
I see the love you still pour into others even when your own heart feels empty.
I see the way you honour my memory and the way you carry me with you.
I know it hasn’t been easy, I know the nights are long and the days sometimes feel hollow but please don’t ever think I am far away, I am here.
If I could I would take your pain away but since I can’t I just ask you to keep living, to keep loving, to keep finding beauty in this world even when it feels unfair because you are still here and your story is not over.
