I’ve gone ahead of you
Not because I wanted to, but because I had no choice.
Up here, I’ve claimed a spot with your name on it
It’s yours, no one else’s
I’m holding it just for you
Waiting.
I want you to know there’s more than this
More than the pain that keeps you up all night
More than the emptiness that follows you through the day
This isn’t the end
Not for me
Not for you.
So live while you can
Say yes to the big scary stuff
Love the people I can’t love for myself anymore
And when you have given everything you have done
You will find me here in the place I saved
And it will feel like we were never apart at all.
