A thank you to David Bowie from a palliative care doctor

I just wanted to share this moving letter written by a palliative care doctor about the death of David Bowie: http://blogs.bmj.com/spcare/2016/01/15/a-thank-you-letter-to-david-bowie-from-a-palliative-care-doctor

Dr Mark Taubert writes about how talking about Bowie’s death with a patient helped her to face up to her own terminal diagnosis: “It got us talking about numerous weighty subjects that are not always straightforward to discuss with someone facing their own demise.”

He also writes about the singer’s final album and how it made him think about how people spend their time when they know they are faced with death.

I thought it was a really interesting read. What about you? Share your own comments about the article, or about David Bowie, in the replies.

Thank you for sharing!
