Hopefully this might help someone navigating all the admin. Most companies have bereavement dedicated contact numbers including banks, building societies, some utility companies, virginmedia etc. It’s worth googling ‘bereavement’ for every company you need to call. If they do have a dedicated number it makes an enormous difference. They are prepared for you to cry and feel flustered and confused. It also quite often bypasses those automated press ‘1’ things and you get to speak to a real person. X
That’s really kind of you and yes we need to be able to speak to someone, I just wish all companies used real people for all their customers.
