AI version of deceased loved one

I have just been watching a man being interviewed on TV who created an AI of his mum and they can call each other every day. She calls him and they have normal conversations :hushed:. They showed him talking to his mum on the phone. Wow! I’m just not comfortable with that, what do others think? Very emotive subject

I have just watched this as well im not comfortable with it at all.
It just doesnt seem right im mot sure that would help the grieving process wrll it wouldnt help me in any case

I am intrigued. Was it a film or really happened?

No it has really happened it was on bbc news it showed him tslking to his mum on the phone he made it when he knew she was dying

Although we are all devastated at our losses, I think most of us come to accept that all of us have to die at some point. It’s life. Let them rest in peace. What purpose does this serve other than to keep people locked in perpetual grief and fantasy (which to me is dangerous for mental health), also a money making scheme out of grieving vulnerable people. My husband would laugh at this and tell me to get on with living my life. I find it just shocking

cant see any harm if it gives comfort to the person, especially if the person died suddenly, you could have a right go at them
