David Hamilton played Pamela Pamela on Boom Radio earlier. I haven’t heard it for ages. I lost my Pamela last year so at the moment I am a wreck again.
Geoff, It’s good (in some ways) to see another man on here, as we so often just bottle things up don’t we. I lost my wife last month, so things are still pretty raw. I’m finding the same as you, when one of “our” songs/groups come on the radio, and I just burst into tears.
I’m trying to use things like this as a reminder of all the good times we spent at many gigs over the years, some just us 2 and sometimes with friends. It seems such a little thing - a song (and I remember your song well) is a trigger, that sets emotions free running. We need to do that though - and it wouldn’t be natural if we didn’t, especially when the reminder is for the one we love.
Keep strong my friend, but there’s nothing wrong in letting the emotions flow. Us men aren’t as strong as we like to think we are, are we? If you prick us we still bleed like anyone else.
Best wishes my friend. M
Thanks for your kind words.
