Anticipatory grief

My mum has a long term illnesses with heart failure , copd she is 74
I live away from my parents a 6 hour drive away im in Scotland , my daughter is a nurse and lives 30 mins away from them
My dad is 74 and in good health im really struggling at the moment as my mum was took too hospital 2 weeks ago with pneumonia this is the 2nd time this as happened the first time she nearly died , me and my husband drove down straightaway both times . My mum is not eating and drinking so well and im constantly worried , im so scared of losing her and i feel like im in a constant state of distress and waiting for the phone call i feel so depressed and alone .

Take time off from work/school/whatever and go spend a week with your mom and dad. You can see with your own eyes how she is doing, feed her, care for her, and say all the loving things you might regret not saying.

I am sorry your mom is so sick. It is devastating, I know.
