I have recently lost my dad due to addiction. I am struggling to cope with the anxiety and keep having spells in the day where I feel dizzy. Is this normal? The anxiety can be really intense at times and I would like to avoid medication if possible.
Thank you
Dear @sianmonk77
I am sorry to hear of the recent loss of your dad. Grief is a rollercoaster ride of emotions with good days and bad days. Have you thought about booking an appointment with your doctor to discuss how you are feeling and to see if there are any other ways besides medication to help you as anxiety is a common feature of grief.

Thank you. I have spoken with my doctor and he thinks this is just the process I am going through.
However sometimes it’s unbearable the anxiety.
So sorry for your loss. I to am suffering anxiety every day after losing my wife. I know the feeling is so overwhelming at times. I think you should go back to your doctor. You may need help while your grief is so raw… i am trying to stop overthinking which can increase anxiety . Hope you can gain strength in time.
Take care.
