Hi all, any tips on how you all manage anxiety or panic attacks,

Hi NIKKI if you are on your own when they happen running on the spot for a few minutes helps, when you stop it’s as if your body realises you’ve escaped the danger and allows you to calm down. In public you can try clenching and unclenching all your muscles, not as good but can work. Taking deep breaths and holding for a minute and gently realising is another one. If you notice it coming on the quicker you take control the better. Forcing a smile again if your on your own as it can look pretty strange but when your smiling it’s as if your body can’t accept your in flight response and smiling at the same time. Also if you know what is going to cause a panic attack like going to the shops or leaving home etc the best thing is to do small steps each day put yourself into a problematic situation for a small amount of time and gradually build on it until it stops being a problem.

The clenching and unclenching your fists while rolling your shoulders (while standing) really does help so does rescue remedy.
Hope this helps, rescue remedy has been a godsend at for me x

I struggle once the symptoms start to take over,trying to control it,il try the clenching,thanks ,trying not to let it bother me,draw a line,it was this morning and I did my best x
